2005 bay tobiano filly
Jessie is our oldest Ris Key daughter. She really has great conformation and a captivating look about her. With her bold personality, she should make an excellent show horse. She took the saddle really well this past fall (as all the yearlings did......not really a 'bucker' in the bunch). She's becoming very quiet and friendly. 30 days arena riding (October 2007), then spent the month of November going down the road and on the trails. Tackled a 20 mile trail ride with all new horses on her first trip off the farm. NO PROBLEMS. Put out to pasture for the winter in December.
**UPDATE** another 30 days on this filly started June, 2008. Very talented, cooperative young mare. Someone could really make something out of this one!!
We have used her as a broodmare for a couple of years, two really sharp colts....first to sell out of the entire foal crop each year. Did not breed her for the past 2 years, she's being ridden and used as a lesson horse. That's working out quite well, but she's not a beginner's (or small child's) horse as she does have a little bit of 'gas'.
She ended up a bit taller than most of our daughters of Ris Key. She looks to be her dam's height of 15 hands. Super, super stout and heavy straight bones with that cute head and ear that Ris Key tends to put on all his babies.
Probably breed her again in 2013, and alternate another mare out of the 'broodmare' category and into the 'rider' category.
($4000 - terms to show home)
NOW $2950 until confirmed in foal
bred to our dble homozygous black tobiano stallion - Kash
May, 2014 - bay tobiano filly with markings VERY similar to the dam. This filly is sweet and friendly. She's probably going to mature close to her sire's height of 15.3. Now nearly a year old and she TOWERS over the other 2014 foals.
We will breed Jessie to Pepsis Color Master for a 2015 foal. 75% chance for a buckskin and/or dun or a smokey black and/or grulla tobiano foal in 2015. 50/50 chance of being homozygous tobiano, 50/50 chance of homozygous black....
Jessie gave us a nearly perfect colt.
He is buckskin tobiano, GREAT conformation, BIG colt .....and ....DOUBLE homozygous!
We did not breed Jessie in 2015. She's getting the year off. Jessie is in now confirmed foal to Pepsis Color Master for a 2017 foal.
Jessie has been bred back to Pepsis Color Master for 2018.
Massive buckskin tobiano colt.
Bred back to Pepsis Color Master for 2019.
